This Privacy Policy explains how Renue Home collects, uses, discloses, sells, and shares information about you when you visit renuehome.com (the “Site”) or use our matching service (the “Service”). Please read it together with our Terms & Conditions. By using the Site or submitting a request, you agree to this Policy.
Renue Home is a free advertising marketplace and matching service that connects homeowners with independent local home-improvement professionals. Renue Home is not a contractor and does not perform, supervise, price, or guarantee any home-improvement work. We help homeowners request and compare options from third-party providers.
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (such as government IDs, financial account numbers, health, or precise geolocation) unless specifically disclosed at the point of collection.
We collect information directly from you when you fill out a form or contact us; automatically through cookies, pixels, tags, and server-to-server tracking when you use the Site; and from service providers and partners such as analytics, advertising, lead-distribution, fraud-prevention, and consent-verification vendors, and the marketing partners or publishers that referred you to us.
We use information to: operate the Service and match you with home-improvement professionals; contact you (and enable matched providers to contact you) about your request by phone, text, and email; respond to your inquiries and requests; verify and document consent; detect, prevent, and investigate fraud and abuse; measure and improve advertising and Site performance; comply with legal obligations; and otherwise operate, maintain, and improve our business.
We may disclose, sell, and/or share the personal information described above with:
We share this information to match consumers with home-improvement providers, respond to requests, market relevant services, measure advertising performance, prevent fraud, and operate our business. Some of these disclosures may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under certain state privacy laws. You can exercise choices about this as described in Sections 10–12 and on our Do Not Sell or Share page.
The contractors, dealers, and service professionals we match you with are independent third parties. They are not owned or controlled by Renue Home. Once your information is shared with a matched provider, that provider uses your information under its own privacy policy and business practices, over which we have no control. We encourage you to review the privacy practices of any provider that contacts you. To stop contact from a particular provider, you can ask that provider directly to stop, in addition to using the choices below.
We and our partners use cookies, web beacons/pixels, tags, software development kits, and server-to-server (postback) tracking to operate the Site, remember your preferences, perform analytics and attribution, enable retargeting and advertising, measure ad performance, and detect and prevent fraud. We may also use call-tracking technology to attribute and, where permitted by law, record or transcribe calls. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect Site functionality.
Global Privacy Control (GPC): where required by law, we treat a recognized GPC browser signal as a valid request to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for the browser and device on which it is received.
When you submit a request and provide consent, you may be contacted by Renue Home and matched providers by phone, text message, and email — including through automated dialing technology, prerecorded messages, and artificial or AI-generated voice — at the number and email you provide, even if your number is on a federal, state, or internal Do Not Call list. Consent is not a condition of purchase. To document consent, we and our vendors create and retain proof-of-consent records and certificates (for example, TrustedForm- or Jornaya-style certificates). We also use fraud-prevention tools to evaluate submissions, and, where permitted by law, may record calls for quality, training, and verification.
You may revoke consent at any time: reply STOP to any text to stop texts, follow the unsubscribe link in emails, ask a caller to place you on their do-not-call list, or contact us at [email protected]. Message and data rates may apply; message frequency may vary.
You can: reply STOP to texts; use the unsubscribe link in marketing emails; request to opt out of the sale/sharing of your information or to access, delete, or correct it via our Do Not Sell or Share page or by emailing [email protected]; enable a GPC signal; and adjust your browser cookie settings. Because matched providers are independent, you may also need to contact them directly to stop their communications.
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended) gives you rights to know/access, delete, and correct your personal information, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, to limit the use of sensitive personal information (where applicable), and to not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. Details, the categories of information we handle, and how to submit requests are in our California Privacy Notice and on our Do Not Sell or Share page.
Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws (for example, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and others) may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of their personal data, and to opt out of targeted advertising and the sale of personal data. To exercise these rights, use our Do Not Sell or Share page or email [email protected]. You may appeal a decision regarding your request by replying to our response.
The Site and Service are intended for adults 18 and older and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable). If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service, document consent, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary by data type and purpose; for example, consent records are retained for the period required to demonstrate compliance. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new effective date, and changes are effective when posted.
